In my role as a psychologist, I am passionate about helping you understand barriers to living the life you want to live. Insight building, self-compassion, emotion regulation, and behavior change can all serve a role in moving through these obstacles toward purpose and meaning. I value non-judgement, self-determination, and respect for your unique identity, values, and culture. What I ask from you is willingness.
Our early relationships affect current emotional and relationship patterns, and as this insight unfolds, the relationship between the client and therapist can be an important tool for healing. I see the mind and body--mental and physical health--as interconnected. Both understanding what your emotions are communicating and lifestyle factors can be an important part of strengthening resilience. I conceptualize mental health as integration, authenticity, freedom, and flexibility.
